8.EE.7 - Solve linear equations in one variable

1. Give examples of linear equations in one variable with one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions. Show which of these possibilities is the case by successively transforming the given equation into simpler forms, until an equivalent equation of the form x = a, a = a, or a = b results (where a and b are different numbers).
2. Solve linear equations with rational number coefficients, including equations whose solutions require expanding expressions using the distributive property and collecting like terms.

The content I've added is a good resource for someone learning about this topic because the links lead you to a place where you can easily learn and improve on 8.EE.7. The khan acedemy video set is a great resource for anyone to use. The videos go into depth explaining not just the answer, but all the math behind why it is the answer. Something interesting or new that I learned about this topic was how tricky and deceiving some systems can be. You always need to read the equaltion very carefully or you might miss a negitve or exponent.
